Lithium batteries are widely used, from digital and communication products for civilian use to industrial equipment to special equipment, etc. They are all used in batches. Different products require different voltages and capacities. Therefore, lithium-ion batteries are used in many cases in series and parallel. The application battery formed by protecting the circuit, casing and output is called PACK. PACK can be a single battery, such as mobile phone battery, digital camera battery, MP3, MP4 battery, etc., or a series-parallel combination battery, such as laptop battery, medical equipment battery, communication power supply, electric vehicle battery, backup power supply, etc.

Lithium Battery Pack Composition

PACK includes battery pack, protective plate, outer packaging or casing, output (including connectors), key switch, power indicator, and auxiliary materials such as EVA, highland barley paper, and plastic brackets to form a PACK. The external characteristics of the PACK are determined by the application. There are many types of PACK.

 

Features of Lithium Battery Pack

-There are complete functions that can be applied directly.
-Variety of species. There are multiple PACKs that can implement the same application requirement.
-The battery pack PACK requires the battery to have a high degree of consistency (capacity, internal resistance, voltage, discharge curve, life).
-The cycle life of a battery pack PACK is lower than that of a single cell.
-Use under limited conditions (including charging, discharging current, charging method, temperature, humidity conditions, vibration, stress, etc.)
-The lithium battery pack PACK protection board requires a charge equalization function.
-High-voltage, high-current battery packs (such as electric vehicle batteries, energy storage systems) require communication buses such as battery management systems (BMS), CAN, and RS485.
-The battery pack PACK has higher requirements on the charger, and some requirements communicate with the BMS. The purpose is to make each battery work normally, fully utilize the energy stored in the battery, and ensure safe and reliable use.

 

Precautions for the use of lithium batteries
Do not put into fire or use near heat sources! ! !
Do not use metal to connect the positive and negative outputs directly together.
Do not use outside the battery temperature range.
Do not squeeze the battery with force.
Use a special charger or charge it in the correct way.
Please recharge the battery once every three months when it is on hold. and place at storage temperature.
